UK Home office is responsible for the disappearance of Kadir Salih Abdullah
Kadir Salih Abdullah DOB 01.04.1964 arrived in the UK 29 October 2000. He left a family of six children in
Kurdistan. After five years of fighting for asylum, not being able to work and being forced to rely on the charity of friends Kadir gave up the fight and signed voluntary return papers on
24 March 2005 through the
IOM scheme. Shortly after returning to Kurdistan Kadir was kidnapped in front of his home in an area under the control of Patriotic of Union Kurdistan (
PUK). His daughter was so distressed at his disappearance that she committed suicide. His five remaining boys and family have contacted IFIR to report his disappearance and asking for our support.

Kurdish asylum seeker forcibly deported to Bahgdad
Namak Ahmad father of Shawan Namek from Kirkuk reported to International Federation of Iraqi Refugees (IFIR) that his son Shawan Namek was forcibly deported at 1 pm on 14 July 2008, by military aircraft to Bahgdad. Namak was contacted by the Iraqi authorites infrorming him they were holding his son at Bahdad airport until they were given identity papers for Shawan. Namek made the dangerous journey from Kirkuk to Bahgdad only to be told by the Iraqi authorities that the papers were not sufficient, and they would not release Shawan.

To Refugee and humanist organisations, those who demand human rights and all the political parties: defend the right of asylum!
The British Home Office for the fifth time has decided to deport 64 Kurdish asylum seekers by force back to
Kurdistan in the next 24hrs to 72 hrs. These asylum seekers are now held inside British prisons and detention camps, despite some of them having families and children.
