Hassan is an active member of the International Federation of Iraqi Refugees. He is currently detained in Doncaster IRC and awaiting deportation also Hassan has been a member of the Worker Communist Party of Iraq since 1993. 

Fariat Mohammadi, an Iranian refugee who fought against the Islamic regime in Iran, has been held in detention since his arrival in the UK 11 months ago (16 June 2008).  Fariat, who is currently being held in Colnbrook started to refuse food and stitched his eyes and mouth closed seven days ago.  

30 activists of the Danish Stop Deportations group barricaded the Integration Ministry this morning by padlocking doors from the inside in response to the detention and planned deportation of Iraqi refugees. 

Danish police have detained five Iraqis at asylum centres in an early morning operation.
